Station Road Surgery was for many years a single-handed practice but was taken over and refurbished in 1981 and again in 1988. Since then the practice has steadily grown to its present size of approximately 10,000 patients with five doctors.
In 2004 Station Road Surgery became a training practice for new GP's.
