Supporting your comfort and dignity
We respect your privacy, dignity, and personal beliefs at all times. If an intimate examination is required as part of your care, it will only be carried out with your consent.
A chaperone (a trained member of staff who is present during the examination) will be available to support both you and the clinician.
You may request a chaperone:
When booking your appointment
On arrival at the surgery (please inform reception)
At any time during your consultation
If a chaperone is not immediately available, your appointment may be rescheduled to ensure one can attend.
